Reboiler

Reboiler

Reboiler is a heat exchanger at the bottom or side of the distillation tower, which is used to vaporize a part of the liquid product to return to the tower for gas phase reflux, so that the contact mass transfer between the steam and liquid in the tower can be carried out, while providing the heat required for the distillation process, and weighing the boiler. Most reboilers are shell-and-tube heat exchangers. According to the different needs of actual production, the boiling process can occur either in the shell or in the tube.

Built-in reboiler

In the selection of reboiler

In the selection of reboiler, try to use vertical thermal siphon reboiler; If the control scheme does not strictly control the liquid level of the tower reactor, the kettle reboiler is generally selected. In the absence of sufficient space height, consider using a horizontal thermal siphon reboiler or kettle reboiler. In the case of high viscosity, the forced circulation reboiler is selected.
